Frequency converter has been applied to a variety of equipment for energy-saving, transforming traditional industries, improving technical process and the process automation level, enhancing the product quality and environment. It is one of the main techniques for us. Inverter technology is also a green technology for the national economy and the daily life. Meanwhile, it is also one of the world’s fastest upgrading technologies in the field.Switch devices are the core parts of the inverter, it becomes the leading device of small and medium-sized power electronic equipment and the voltage, capacity and switching frequency performance is still improving gradually. Switch devices are integrated in the intelligent power module to provide the convenience for reducing the costs of design and production, and the system performance and reliability have been improved.In this paper, an inverter transformation process is introduced, which is used in power plant condensation pump. The system of variable frequency speed control is mainly composed by the programmable logic controller (PLC), SIEMENS inverter, control motor, liquid level sensor, power unit, bypass controller and transformer to achieve closed-loop control. Among them, PLC completes the management and logic processing of the whole frequency conversion system, and the bypass controller provides high fault tolerance ability for the whole system. Through doing the experiment in the test field, the problems in the process of transformation were adjusted to improve the effective work time of the inverter operation, to realize the automatic control of deaerator water level. And it also coordinates operation between the frequency conversion of the condensation water pump and the adjust time of water level so as to determine the inverter input strategy reasonably and reduce the electricity consumption effectively.
