Since entering the 21 st century, the electrical energy as a clean energy, are more and more is used, and in our daily life and production, motor, power electronic converter,transformer get rapid development, more and more applied to a variety of electrical equipment, but this makes a large number of harmonics and reactive power in the transmission network, the safe use of the protection of the electric grid is we have to consider a major issue. In order to effectively solve harmonic and reactive power to the power grid caused by the damage of PWM rectification technology gradually into people’s vision. PWM rectifier is characterized with high power factor, can even can achieve two-way flow, also can make the input sinusoidal AC current. Because of the rectifying device has a advantages mentioned above, make it gradually replaced the rectifier device for a generation, to become the leader of a new generation of rectifier device, PWM rectifier device to a great extent perfect solves this problem.This paper first introduces the research and design of PWM rectifier, and introduces its development process and the future direction of development and application in real life field. Then classify the single-phase voltage type PWM rectifier, and its work principle,and decided to use unipolar modulation, this paper introduces the advantages of this modulation in mathematics. Then introduced in detail the present single-phase PWM rectifying device commonly used control method type, the transient current control has carried on the thorough analysis, the tuning method of double loop control of PI controller in the mathematical model are given. In theory, under the guidance of the single-phase PWM rectifier for the hardware and software design, the hardware design includes the LC parameter, the design of the main circuit sampling circuit, protection circuit and IGBT driving circuit. The control circuit of software design based on TMS32335 module, and AD module is given, the PWM signal generator and PI control DSP program. According to the Simulink unit design using MATLAB software simulation analysis.Finally, through prototype experiment, to achieve stable DC voltage output, and the input power factor close to 1 basic.
