PART I:The research on sleep in patients with sudden sensorineuralhearing lossObjective:To explore the correlation between sudden sensorineural hearing lossand sleep disordered, and clear the role of sleep disordered in the pathogenesis ofsudden sensorineural hearing loss by analysing the sleep structure characteristics ofpatients with sudden sensorineural hearing loss.Methods:38people with sudden sensorineural hearing loss from2012.8-2013.7in Guangzhou Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Hospital were included. Weselected38healthy people matched with the age, sex, body weight, height as the controlgroup. All cases were conducted by Australian Compumedics EIESTA-series sleepmonitoring polysomnography. Results:Compared with the normal control group, patients with suddensensorineural hearing loss reflect a reduction efficient sleep time (P<0.05), prolongedsleep latency (P<0.01),increased onset time and number of awakening about arousalindex after sleep (P<0.05),decreased time and rapid of rapid eye movement sleep(stage REM)(P<0.05or P<0.01),and non rapid eye movement sleep (stage NREM) especially non rapid eye movement sleep stage first (S1) and non rapid eye movementsleep stage second (S2) time and ratio increased(P<0.05or P<0.01),the time and ratioof non rapid eye movement sleep stage third (S3) reduced(P<0.01).Conclusion:The majority of sleep quality and sleep structure in patients withsudden sensorineural hearing loss are changed significantly, that manifested asdecreased sleep quality, heavy sleep disorder. It suggests that sleep disorders may berelated to the occurrence and development of sudden sensorineural hearing loss.Thuswe should consider the treatment of sleep disorders, which is conducive to therehabilitation of sudden sensorineural hearing loss. PART II:The research on anxiety and depression in patients withsudden sensorineural hearing lossObjective:To research the incidence of anxiety and depression state in suddensensorineural hearing loss patients,To provide objective basis for curing suddensensorineural hearing loss effectively. Methods:We selected38people with sudden sensorineural hearing loss from2012.8-2013.7in Guangzhou Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Hospital as theresearch group, and selected38healthy people matched with the age, sex, bodyweight, height as the control group. Hamilton Anxiety Scale and Hamilton DepressionScale were used to score the38sudden sensorineural hearing loss patients and38normal controls. Scores were compared between patients with sudden sensorineuralhearing loss and normal people by statistical analysis. Results:There were significance differences between the sudden sensorineuralhearing loss patients and normal controls. The scores of sensorineural hearing losspatients was higher than the normal controls(P<0.01). Anxiety and depression stage offemale patients were higher than males(P<0.01).Conclusion: Sudden sensorineural hearing loss patients suffered anxiety anddepression significant, when we cured sudden sensorineural hearing loss, we were notonly cure the physiological disorder, but also cure the anxiety and depressiondisorders. It may be more effective for treatment of sudden sensorineural hearing loss. |
