ObjectiveTo compare the similarities and differences of chemical constituents and pharmacodynamics between the root and stem of Ilex asprella(Gangmei), and study the spectrum-effect relationship, so as to provide theoretical foundation and scientific basis for the rational use of root and stem.Method:1Fingerprint spectrum study of Gangmei1.1. There was no significant difference in the efficacy between root and stem.2.3Comparative study of Treating PharyngitisThe mice which injected with LPS solution can be pharyngitis, after given the extract of root and stem of GangMei, it can be significantly relieved the pathological symptoms of pharyngitis, and had an obvious inhibitory effect on increasing NO, MDA content in serum of pharyngitis. There was no significant difference in the efficacy between root and stem.3. Comprehensive evaluationPharmacological effects of Gangmei was related to the various components in the root and stem of Gangmei. Their pharmacodynamic substance were not all the same.In the root, pharmacodynamic substances of antioxidant were mainly for P5、 P9、GB、P6、P10, while stems mainly as JA、P5、P6、P9、P2、P4、P10、P5、P9in Stems were more than in roots, which had significant antioxidant ability.In the root, pharmacodynamic substances for the treatment of pharyngitis were mainly for GA、P1、P4、P12, while stems mainly as P2、P4、P9、P10、P12、JD、 JE、JF. it suggested that substance and the mechanism for anti pharyngitis effective were not the same.GonclusionThere are differences between Gangmei root and stem in the chemical composition. Difference between the two anti-inflammatory mechanisms but achieve the same efficacy, so the combination has a certain rationality.
