| Objective:To investigate the value of two dimensional high frequrncy ultrasound combined with colour Doppler flow imaging in the diagnosis of male breast diseases. Methods:Three patients with breast tumor and sixteen patients with gynecomastia undergoing ultrasound were reviewd. On the basis of two dimensional ultrasound examination for the understanding of masses’morphology,internal echo,margins,posterior attenuation and lateral shadow,color Doppler flow imaging was performed to study the blood supply within and around the masses,and the results were verified by the pathological findings. Results:1case for breast liposarcoma, lump mass toughness, smooth surface, the mobility is large, no tenderness, misdiagnosed as breast fibroadenoma.2cases of breast cancer, both show the breast solid mass,hard texture.1case of edge owes clear, visible inside tiny calcification points, and the other case has clear boundary, regular shape, yet a few strips irregular fluid dark space in the lumps can be seen. Inside and the edge, CDFI show the rich arterial blood flow signal, give priority with grade Ⅱ~Ⅲ blood flow signal.16cases with gynecomastia, aged from16to75years old, had no history of long-term use of drugs,8cases on the left side of the pure,6cases pure on the right side of the onset,2cases encounter bilateral incidence, a total of18lesions. Most clinical manifestations show peripheral nodular near breast nipple or diffuse enlargement, minority with breast ache is unwell.Occasionally a little secretion when to squeeze nipple.The ultrasonic images were categorized into nodule type (40.5%), flame shaped type (32.6%), and female like breast type (26.9%). Conclusion:Combined use of two dimensional ultrasound and colour Doppler flow imaging may improve the diagnosis of male breast diseases. |
