Objective:Try to find out the related factors and the individually related factors to affect the clinical efficacy of transforaminal percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy for lumbar disc herniation. Methods:We investigated the107Lumbar disc herniation patients that accept Transforaminal percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy with retrospec-tive study. There were60males and47females. The mean age was41.8years (range:18to80years). Including7discs of L3/4,69discs of L4/5,29discs of L5/S1, two patients with double lumbar intervertebral disc herniation of L4/5and L5/S1. First to study the eleven possible factors with single-factor analysis, then to proceed the multiple-factor analysis with Logistic regression from the significant related factors of single-factor analysis. Results:Results of single-factor analysis:①Non-significant factors in statistics:Sex、History of trauma、Type of work、Spinal level、Modic chang、 Lee Partition、Disc degeneration level, All these factors were no significant difference(P>0.05).②Significant factors in statistics:Age, duration of symptoms. Previous symptoms. Disc degeneration level, All above factors were significant (P<0.05). Patients younger than45years old tended to obtain better outcomes than older patients. An excellent outcome was seen in patients with shorter symptom durations less than6months, but was less at6months or longer. Patients Previous symptom is leg pain can achieve better outcome than Previous symptom is low back pain. An excellent outcome was seen in patients with Disc degeneration at III level, but was less with Disc degeneration at Ⅳlevel.Multiple-factor analysis with Logistic regression analysis:there were two factors that showed independent significance. they were Symptom duration and Previous symptoms. Symptom duration (less than6months,0R=4.951) and Previous symptoms (Leg pain,0R=25.553/Leg and back pain,0R=14.706)were significantly related to the outcome. Conclusion:The related factors of hydrocephalus prognosis:Age、duration of symptoms、 Previous symptoms、Disc degeneration level. The individual prognostic factors (duration of symptoms、 Previous symptoms)were independently associated with an excellent outcome. Previous symptoms were the most important related factors.
