Objective: To observe the impact of Kun An Decoction on the serumadrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), corticosterone (CORT), triglyceride (TG),cholesterol (TC), fotinizing stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH),estrogen (E2) level of the ovariectomized rats.Methods:To select SPF female adult rats,which are randomly divided into fourgourps:(1) blank control group,(2)model group,(3) traditional chinese medicinegroup,(4) progynova group. Both ovaries of the rats were removed except the blankcontrol group, after the ovariectomy each rats in different group were given thedifferent drugs. Killed all of rats after8weeks gavage. To observe the level of theserum TG, TC, ACTH, CORT, FSH, LH, E2of the ovariectomized rats.Results:①.The results indicate that the serum E2level of ovariectomized ratsdecrease signifiantly and the serum LH and FSH level of ovariectomized rats increasegreatly, there is statistically significant difference (P<0.01) compared with the controlgroup; the serum E2level of TCM group and progynova group increase and the serumLH and FSH level of TCM group and progynova group decrease, which indicatesstatistically significant difference compared with model group (P<0.01).②.The serumACTH and CORT level of ovariectomized rats increase greatly and there isstatistically significant difference (P<0.01) compared with the control group; theserum ACTH and CORT level of TCM group decrease and indicate statisticallysignificant difference compared with model group (P<0.05); the serum ACTH andCORT level of progynova group decrease obviously and there is statisticallysignificant difference (P<0.01) compared with model group; for the serum ACTHlevel there is no significant difference between TCM group and progynova group (P>0.05); for the serum CORT level there is statistically significant difference betweenTCM group and progynova group (P<0.01)③. The serum TG and TC level ofovariectomized rats increase greatly and there are statistically significant difference (P<0.01) compared with the control group; the serum TG and TC level of TCM groupand progynova group decrease obviously and there are statistically significantdifference (P<0.01) compared with model group; there is no difference between TCMgroup and progynova group (P>0.05).Conclusion:(1) Kun an decoction can obviously decrease the serum FSH and LHlevel of ovariectomized rats, and also significantly increase those serum E2level ofovariectomized rats.(2) Kun an decoction can obviously decrease the serum ACTH andCORT level of ovariectomized rats.(3) Kun an decoction can significantly decrease the serum TC and TGlevel of ovariectomized rats.
