Observation Of Curative Effect Of The Treatment Of Parkinson’s Disease Syndrome With Scalp Acupunture Combined With Eye Acupunture

Objective:Parkinson’s disease is a chronic progressive neurodegenerative disease of the central nervous system in the elderly.With the increase of age,PD incidence rate show an upward trend. Because its pathogenesis is very complex,there is no radical method at present.Clinical study show that acupuncture has significant curative effect on the treatment of PD.Because its pathogenesis is very complex and the syndromes of PD are so many,the effect of only a single acupuncture method is not satisfactory. On clinical application and research,more than one method are combined to treat PD.At present,the clinical application and research on the combine of scalp acupuncture and eye acupuncture is very rare.The subject is aimed to provide clinical trial basis of treating PD,through observing the effect of scalp acupuncture and eye acupuncture treatment of PD.Method:Enrolled60cases with Yin deficiency of liver and kidney who were inpatients or outpatients of Neurologistin Nanjing Hospital of TCM from Mar.2013to Feb.2014,By a parallel control study,Divided into group A (TCM+western medicine group),group B(Western medicine group),each group of30cases.Each group in the treatment of4weeks for1courses.After2courses of treatment,we use UPDRS,HAMD and PDSS as assessment methods to evaluate the curative effect of treatment of PD.A11DAta are processed by statistical software SPSS16.0.Before and after treatment,significant test measurement DAta matching mean by t test,don’t meet with rank sum test t test.Count DAta use chi-square test.Test groups were significant difference between using analysis of variance.Results:1.After the completion of the trial, group A has significant difference statistically in the respects of improving both motor symptoms and the non-motor symptoms of PD (sleep and depression)(P<0.05),when the UPDRS of group B is significant difference(P<0.05),meanwhile the non-motor symptoms of PD (sleep and depression) in group B are not significant difference (P>0.05).These show that both group A and group B can improve the motor symptoms of PD.In the respect of improving the non-motor symptoms of PD (sleep and depression),group A is curative,when group B is not.2.By comparing the two groups’UPDRS score reduction before and after treatment,there are differences in Statistics(P<0.05).By observing the sample mean,we find that the UPDRS score reduction in group A is higher than group B.It shows that group A treatment scheme is superior to group B.Conclusion:The clinical study demonstrated that scalp acupuncuture combined with eye acupuncuture has prominent dffects on improving both motor symptoms and the non-motor symptoms of PD. The clinical effect of the combination is better than simply using medicine.It means that scalp acupuncuture combined with eye acupuncuture can improve the life quality of PD patients.
