Mechanical stress stimulation plays an important role in theregulation of bone formation and bone remodeling. After being applied tobone tissue mechanical stress is converted into three kinds of localsignals including fluid flow stress, the cell deformation and SGP. Themechanosensitive cells of bone tissue receive those local signals viathree kinds of channels including integrins and cytoskeletonsystem, calcium channels and primary cilia and convert local signals intoprimary intracellular biochemical signals. Then the mechanosensitive cellstransform the primary signals into downstream signals viamechanotransduction signal pathway. After that the mechanosensitive cellssend signals to osteoblasts and osteoclasts. At last osteoblasts andosteoclasts implement bone formation and bone resorption. The presentreview gives a brief summary on the response mechanism of bone tissue tomechanical stress stimulation and the present situation of the research onthe response mechanism.
