Objective:1.To explore the contents of health education in patients with ovarian cancer and route optimization by the interviews2.To evaluate the quality of life, social support, improvement in sexual satisfaction between the patients accepting optimization of health education path and control group.Methods:(1) Using qualitative interviews, in the form of semi-structured in-depth interviews with14patients with ovarian cancer and2experts in gynaecological Oncology Group interviews. To optimize the content and providing clinical path of health education materials.(2) According to aformentioned interviews clinical data and qualitative information, content and to design optimization of health education path.154cases who diagnosed with ovarian cancer with surgery and chemotherapy in January2010-2013January in Changzhi Medical College hospital were surveyed.154cases of ovarian cancer patients were divided randomly into experiment group and control group, each group of77cases. Intervention group admitted that implementing health education content system and ways to intervene and control group for general health education. The quality of life, social support, satisfaction an improvement in the situation were compared among the patients of two groups.Results:Qualitative findings:(1) After undergoing treatment in patients with ovarian cancer diagnosed sex in a stopped state and after completion of the ovarian cancer treatment, patients gradually resume sex; the treatment of ovarian cancer, will make the patient’s physiological and psychological state change.(2) The sexual life of patients and their sexual partners in restarting process, undergo sex changes caused by the disease process.(3) The ways of seeking help in sex knowledge among Patients were negative and limited.Experiment research found:(1) The dimensions of role features, and emotional features, cognitive features and life quality in intervention group patients have significantly improved (P<0.05);(2) The dimension of sex satisfaction degrees in intervention group patients has significantly improved than that of the control group, especially in3months, and6months, and18months after surgeryConclusions:(1) Qualitative study show that patients with ovarian cancer have higher needs for knowledge, content and lack of access to relevant knowledge.(2) Sex life is at a standstill for the patients with ovarian cancer within a3-month recovery period. sexual activity was resumed after a series of adjustment process.(3) The path and context of optimization for ovarian cancer in various stages can significantly improve patients’quality of life and sexual satisfaction.
