| Objective:To recognize pulmonary sclerosing hemanagioma(PSH) by investigated its CT and clinicopathologic characters.Material and Method:Data of20cases with PSH and other20cases with early peripheral carcinoma, all of which were confirmed pathologically, were collected and reviewed, including their clinical symptoms, CT features, and the pathological findings of PSH.Results:The PSH presented as solitary, well-circumscribed, round or oval nodules or masses on CT pictures in all of the20cases,3of which with slight lobulation, one with the sign of air meniscus and another with vessels at its periphery sign, respectively. There was a groundglass opacity (GGO) around the lesion in1case.12of the20lesions were strong and homogenous enhancement on contrast enhanced CT scans。There were not hilar and mediastinal lymph node enlargement and lung metastatic tumor in all20patients. Under a microscope, PSH is composed of four histologic components-namely, solid, papillary, sclerotic and hemangiomatous. A neoplasm had at least two of them. The differences between the PSH and the early peripheral lung cancer were not significant in increased contrast enhanced CT numbers (P>0.05). There were significant differences between them in the mass distribution in both lungs, the lobulated border, the marginal smoothness, the spiculate or bur edge, the pleural indetation and the vessel convergence sign。Conclusion:There are different clinical, pathological and CT features between the PSH and the early peripheral lung cancer. It is favourable to recognizing PSH that investigated its CT and clinicopathologic characters。... |
