Objective To identify differences of protein expression inepilepsy-induced myocardial injury, epilepsy model in SD rats wasestablished to screen high specificity and sensitivity differential proteins.This study was expected to provide help for prevention, diagnosis,treatment of epilepsy-induced myocardial injury and sudden unexpecteddeath in epilepsy.Methods Epilepsy model in SD rats was established by intraperitonealinjection with pentylenetetrazol (PTZ). Pathologic observation was carriedout on myocardial tissue. iTRAQ technology was used to detect differentialproteins.Results Epilepsy model in SD rats was established successfully. Therewere myocardial injuries in epilepsy groups. Compared with acute epilepsycontrol group,161proteins showed significantly differences in acuteepilepsy group. Compared with chronic epilepsy control group,126proteins showed significantly differences in chronic epilepsy group.46proteins showed significantly differences in both acute and chronic groups.Conclusions This study has detected differential proteins inepilepsy-induced myocardial injury in SD rats using iTRAQ technology,which show significantly differences between epilepsy and control groups.Differential proteins prove exists of myocardial injuries in epilepsy groups. These differential proteins are expected to provide help for prevention,diagnosis, treatment of sudden unexpected death in epilepsy.
