ObjectiveAnalyse the single effect of influencing factors including personal living habits, biochemical factors and so on in Shenzhen population, the polymorphisms of geneAPOA1-75A/G, APOA1+83C/T,APOA-256C/T and the gene-gene, gene-influencingfactors interaction on the development of low plasma HDL-C level, to find these potentialassociations in Chinese for the follow-up studies.MethodsThe three candidate SNPs were genotyped by PCR-RFLP method in600Shenzhencitizens who were selected from the Shenzhen Center for Chronic Diseases NutritionMonitoring Survey, conducted for the study questionnaire and physical examination, detected serum biochemical indicators and urine iodine. Used SAS9.30software forChi-Squared Analysis, univariate logistic regression analysis and multivariate logisticregression analysis to evaluate the association between the polymorphism ofAPOA1-75A/G, APOA1+83C/T and APOA2-256C/T gene and the environmental factorsto low HDL-C level; MDR analysis to explore the interaction of gene-gene, gene- influencing factors in the development of low HDL-C level.Results1. Chi-square test was used to calculate the characteristics of genotypesdistribution between cases and controls. APOA1-75A/G was statistically significantdifference in two groups (P<0.05), APOA1+83C/T and APOA-256C/T were nostatistically significant difference in two groups (all P>0.05);2. When adjusted by low HDL-C risk factor including sex, age, urine iodine, TSH,FT3, FT4and so on,results of unconditional multivariate logistic regression analysisshowed that APOA1-75A/G, BMI, smoking were the independent risk factor forreduced HDL-C level;3. MDR analysis in whole subjects showed the best MDR model was t nostatistically significant difference in gene-gene interaction. We didn’t find anysignificantly multiplicative interaction between gene and influencing factors when inanalysis of MDR, but in the interactive effect mode, smoking, BMI, have a statisticallysignificant associated with low HDL-C level.Conclusions1. The main risk factors of low HDL-C level including BMI, smoke.2. APOA1-75A/G gene polymorphism may be a molecular biological marker to thesusceptibility of low HDL-C level.
