Objective To investigate the changes in incidence trend and reasons for priority diseases of notifiable diseases from 2005 to 2014 in Dingxi City, identify the prevention key of infection diseases in current, to provide a scientific valid basis for prevention of infection diseases to administrative department in the government. Methods Analyzed the statistical data of Dingxi City Diseases Surveillance Information Reporting System from 2005 to 2014 using the descriptive epidemiological method. Results During 2005-2014, there were a total of 100038 cases reported with infection diseases in Dingxi City. No class A infection diseases was reported,73497 cases of class B infection diseases were reported, the average annual reported incidence rate was 258.81/100 000; there were 26541 cases of class C infection diseases were reported, average annual incidence of 93.46/100 000 was reported. Incidence for class B infection diseases decreased year by year in 2005-2009the trend of class C infection diseases was the first rising after dropping, the first incidence of class B infection diseases was viral hepatitis in 2005-2012, tuberculosis was ranked the first in2013-2014, in 2005-2014 mumps accounted for 37.70% in class C infection diseases, followed by infectious diarrhea, influenza, foot and mouth diseases, accounted for 18.05%,17.54%,16.27% of the class C infection diseases incidence respectively. All counties of the city have reporting of infectious diseases every year, the number of male was higher 1.35~1.55 times than female in the incidence rate, the highest incidence age group of the registered household population were age group of 0, accounting for 29.49%, followed by the age group of 15, taking up 23.81%, the incidence rate was lower in other age group. The population distribution of infectious diseases mainly in peasant, accounting for 54.37%, students accounted for 24.2%, the child included in 9.65%of scattered children and3.15% of kindergarten children, May and June were the higher on the cumulative incidence rate every year, accounting for 10.63%,10.99% respectively, the incidence was fewer in February and December, accounting for 5.96%,6.73%. Foot and mouth disease were reported 12 cases in public health emergencies during 2008-2014, which were the general level events. Conclusion The incidence trend of notifiable diseases was downward in Dingxi City all county, while the incidence of all areas were imbalance; the incidence of male was higher than female, Infected person were mainly under the age group 15, the focus of the prevention and control of infectious diseases were viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, sexually transmitted diseases, measles, foot and mouth disease and influenza so on, The city should strengthen the monitoring, prevention and analysis of notifiable infectious diseases, to provide a scientific basis for decision-making departments timely and accurately, in order to serve well the community and protect the health of residents of the city.
