Research On The Efficacy Of Epimedium Combine With Plantago In Treating Early Renal Damage Caused By Essential Hypertension

Object:To observe the clinical efficacy of epimedium combine with Plantago in treating of early renal damage caused by essential hypertension, and to explore its mechanism.Methods:To collect 60 patients of early renal damage caused by EH, and divided into treatment group (n=30) and control group (n=30) at random. Two groups are using the same basic treatment of controlling hypertension, while the treatment group is treated by BuShenYiXinPian and regular western medicine. The changes of blood pressure、urinar microalbumen、CysC、β2-MG were observed before and after treatment.Results:During the course of treatment, the treatment group, not only better in reducing the level of blood pressure and symptoms than the control group (P<0.05), but also better reducing the microalbuminuria、CysC、β2-MG than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:BuShenYiXinPian, which is combined Epimedium with Plantago is effective in treating the patients with early renal damage caused by essential hypertension, it can also improve patient’s symptoms and increase the quality of life. Its mechanism may be related to the promotion of NO synthesis、antiplatelet aggregation、diuresis, so it has an important function of protecting target organs.
