1.ObjectiveThis study aims to observe the relevance like the effect of Buck Exercises on the blood pressure variability, serum biochemical indexes, and quality of life and to explore the mechanisms and of non-medical therapy of TCM in the treatment of hypertension as well as its effects.2. Methods2.1 This subject has collected 166 cases of patients with hypertension, who were divided into the group of drug and the group of Buck Exercises group according to the method of random number table with each group having 83 cases.2.2 The general conditions of the two groups of patients are of comparability in the aspects like ages and course of diseases. Amlodipine Besylate Tablets were applied to the drug group at 5mg qd po; while for the group of Buck Exercises, they conducted the antihypertensive health exercise for three circles every time for about one hour. The research period lasted for six months to observe the antihypertensive results as well as the effects on blood pressure variability, quality of life, and serum biochemical indexes, adopt the SPSS20 statistical software to process data, and make analysis on relevance.3. Results3.1 The blood pressure results:The peak values and valley values of the systolic pressure and the diastolic pressure as well as the ratio between the valley value and the peak value P of the diastolic pressure were all below 0.01, and the differences between the two groups were of statistical meaning; while the ratio between the valley value and the peak value P of the systolic pressure P was more than 0.01 and the differences between the two groups were of no statistical meaning.3.2 The WHO quality of life results:Within the drug group the comparison between the physiological and psychological area P was lower than 0.01,and the comparative distinction was of statistical meaning; while the Ps in the social relationship and environmental field were larger than 0.01 with the comparative distinction of no statistical meaning. Within the group of Buck Exercises, the Ps in the four fields were all below 0.01,and the comparative distinctions made before and after the Buck Exercises were of statistical meaning. As to the comparisons between the two groups, the Ps in the four fields were below 0.01,and the distinctions between the difference values were of statistical meaning.3.3 Duchenne hypertension quality of life results:The compared P before and after taking drugs in the drug group was above 0.01,which could be regarded as that the distinctions before and after the taking of the drugs in the drug group were of no statistical meaning; in the Buck Exercises group the compared P before and after doing Buck Exercises was below 0.01,which could be regarded as that the distinctions before and after doing Buck Exercises in the Buck Exercises group were of statistical meaning. The compared P between the two groups was below 0.01,and the distinction was of statistical meaning.3.4 The biochemical indexes results:The Ps of the total cholesterol and triglyceride compared within the two groups were below 0.01,and the distinction was of statistical meaning; the Ps of high density lipoprotein cholesterol(hdl-c),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(hdl-c),apolipoprotein A and apolipoprotein B were above 0.01,and the distinction was of no statistical meaning. As to the comparisons between the two groups, the Ps of the three indexes of the total cholesterol, triglyceride, and hdl-c were below 0.01,and the distinction was of statistical meaning, while the Ps of hdl-c,apolipoprotein A and apolipoprotein B were above 0.01,and the distinction was of no statistical meaning.4. ConclusionThe valley value and peak value of the blood pressure as well as the ratio of the valley value against the peak value of the diastolic pressure in the Buck Exercises group were all better than those in the group of drug with small blood pressure variability, indicating that the Buck Exercises is more helpful for the steadiness of blood pressure. The WHO quality of life and Duchenne hypertension quality of life in the Buck Exercises group were better than those in the drug group, showing that Buck Exercises was helpful for improving the quality of life of the patients; as to the biochemical indexes, the total cholesterol and triglyceride were improved a little but no pnificant improvements had taken place in other indexes, which indicates that Buck Exercises could make little improvement to the blood biochemical indexes of the patients within short term.
