ObjectiveTherapeutic communication was discussed in the article and evaluated the effects on the anxious emotion, negative automatic thoughts, activities of daily living and rehabilitation training compliance in paraplegia patients after spinal cord injury during rehabilitation training.MethodsSixty-six paraplegia patients after spinal cord injury who came from Rehabilitation medicine of the hospital between 2012.1—2013.4, one exited the control group,were divided into the control group(n=32)and the intervention group(n=33).The patients of the control group acquired routine nursing care, While the patients of the intervention group acquired routine nursing care and therapeutic communication,which had three parts:general communication,assessment communication,therapeutic communication. All the patients were investigated with Self-ratomganxietyseale( SAS), Automatic Thoughts Questionnaire(ATQ), Activities of Daily Living(ADL)and rehabilitation training compliance before and after the intervention.Results1. compare the scores of SAS and ATQ before and after the intervention.Before the intervention, there was no statistical differences between the two groups in SAS and ATQ. After the intervention,the intervention group had a lower scores than the control group, and there was obviously statistical differences between the two groups(P<0.05).2. compare the scores of ADL and rehabilitation training compliance before and after the intervention.Before the intervention, there was no statistical differences between the two groups in ADL and rehabilitation training compliance. After the intervention,the intervention group had a higher scores than the control group, and there was obviously statistical differences between the two groups(P<0.05).3. compare the degree of effective intervention in the two groupsThe intervention group gained a more obvious advantage than the control group on the scores of SAS, ATQ, ADL and rehabilitation training compliance after the intervention.(P<0.05). Contrast to the control group, the intervention group reduced the more degree of anxiety and improved the more degree of ADL and rehabilitation training compliance, there was obviously statistical differences between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusions1. The paraplegia patients after spinal cord injury always appear different levels of anxiety depression, effected the improvement of rehabilitation training and activity of daily living.2. As a handle able and objective assessment intervention way, the therapeutic communication system can help patients adapt to the environment, accept the present status, adjust the emotion, master the effective along with ways, thus improve the psychological state.3. The therapeutic communication systems can decrease the patients’ anxiety depression emotion, increase rehabilitation effect, and can improve the activity of daily living.
