Objective To explore the expressions of LATS protein family in serous ovarian tumors and their clinical significances.Method To detect respectively using immunohistochemical SP method ①the expressions of Pax8, Tubulin and Calretinin in 14 cases of normal ovarian epithelial, 14 cases of normal epithelium of fallopian tubes, 38 cases of ovarian serous cystadenoma, 34 cases of ovarian border tumors, 57 cases of ovarian serous carcinoma, ②the expression of LATS in 14 cases of normal tubal epithelium, 38 cases of ovarian serous cystadenoma, 34 cases of ovarian border tumors, 57 cases of ovarian serous carcinoma. All the immunohistochemica results are scored and analyzed by the statistical analysismeans of the chi-square test, t test, statistical Kaplan Meier method and the Log- rank way.Result ①In normal ovarian epithelial Pax8, Tubulin don’t express and Calretinin express positive, but in normal tubal epithelium and serous tumors, Pax8 and Tubulin have positive expressions and Calretinin express negative;②The expression rates of Pax8 and Tubulin in normal tubal epithelium and ovarian serous tumors were no statistical difference(P > 0.05);③The expression of Pax8 gradually increases in the progress of ovarian serous tumors, with statistical significance(P < 0.05), and the overall expression of Tubulin are indifference, but change the position of expressioninovarian serous tumors;④The expression of LATS in ovarian serous tumors decreases with statistical difference(P < 0.05);⑤The expression of LATS was statistically significant with ovarian serous carcinoma recurrence time and CA125(P < 0.05), the expression of LATS2 in ovarian serous carcinoma is correlated with FIGO stage(P < 0.05);⑥Postoperative survival rate of the high expression of LAST in ovarian serous carcinoma was significantly higher compared with the negative expression of LATS and survival rates of different expressions of LATS1 have significant difference(P < 0.05).Conclusion ①The normal tubal epithelium may be more in line with serous ovarian tumors as normal tissue controls;②LATS1 and LATS2 in the development of ovarian serous tumors may as tumor suppressor proteins;③There is a close relationship between LATS1 and cancer recurrence time or CA125 in ovarian serous carcinomas, the expression of LATS2 is correlated with FIGO stage, cancer recurrence and CA125 number, and the both are associated with postoperative survival rate of patients and affect their prognosis.
