| ObjectiveThis research tries to treat lumbar muscle Strain(LMS) athletes with ear points imbedding needle combined with Ba duan jin and acupuncture in different groups. Also, to observe the difference of functional activity index and pain, as well as symptoms,by making comparisons within and between groups, which aim is to estimate ear points imbedding needle plus Ba duan jin therapeutic efficacy, and tries to find out the clinical support to treat LMS in the field of sports athletes.MethodsThe study is prospective, randomized and controlled. By using ramdom number table,60 LMS athletes were divided into the treated group and the control group, respectively with 32 patients and 28. The control group was treated with acupuncture, while the treated group was given ear points imbedding needle and Ba duan jin, both of which lasted for 1 month. The results of functional activity index, pain, symptoms and other data in pre and post treatment in this two groups were compared study and finally input and analyzed by the SPSS 19.0 software.ResultsThere’s no difference in gender, age, course of disease and syndrome differentiation between the two groups before the treatment (P>0.05), so they’re comparable. Also, no difference showed in the two groups in terms of VAS,PPI and CODI before the treatment (P>0.05).After the treatment, VAS〠PPI and CODI were decreased significant in both groups (P<0.01).The total efficiency of treated group and control group is respectively 94.8% and 96.5%. Though the control group seems to be better than the treated group, there’s no significant difference (P>0.05).ConclusionIn respect of improving pain symptoms and functional activity index in athletes, treated group showed no difference to the control group. According to this paper, ear points imbedding needle plus Ba duan jin therapeutic should be a good adjuvant treatment which is safe,efficiently and worth popularizing to the LMS athletes. |
