A Meta-analysis Of The Effectiveness Of The Qiliqiangxin Capsule On The Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction And The Left Ventricular End-diastolic Dimension Of Patients With Chronic Heart Failure

[Objective]To enable fair and accurate interpretation of the effectiveness of the Qiliqiangxin Capsule on the Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction and the Left Ventricular End-Diastolic dimension of patients with Chronic Heart Failure.[Methods]We searched CNKI, and the Pub Med database from Jan 1, 2009, to Dec 31, 2013, for studies reported both the change of LVEF and the LVEDd after the management of Qiliqiangxin Capsule The languages are limited to Chinese and English. We included twenty studies at last. The total number of patients is 1535 with 761 in the controlled group and 774 in the experimental group.[Results]Individuals with CHF allocated to Qiliqiangxin Capsule had higher LVEF than did those allocated to control group(OR=8.41 [-5.14`-3.20],thirteen trials),especially in patients aged over 60 years(I2=0). Individuals allocated to experimental group had lower LVEDd than did those allocated to control group(OR=7.95,[1.63`3.32], thirteen trials).[Conclusion]The Qiliqiangxin Capsule might effectively improve the pump function and inhibit the dilation of left ventricle of the CHF patients. Therefore further studies is needed to explore it’s molecular mechanism.
