Objective: To investigate the clinical features and echocardiography characteristics of NVM in patients, improve clinicians awareness of ventricular noncompaction and clinical diagnosis and treatment of patients, reduce misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis, for early detection and early intervention. Methods: The medical records of 45 hospitalized patients with noncompaction of ventricular myocardium diagnosed by echocardiographic(UCG), which were in the our hospital since January 2103 to December 2014,were analyzed retrospectively, summarized noncompaction of ventricular myocardium’s clinical and imaging features, and the way of diagnosis and treatment. In addition, we elected 45 cases with normal results of echocardiography at the same term as a control group. We analyzed and compared with the left ventricular systolic function parameters of the echocardiography results between two groups of patient, and reviewed relevant literature and discussed it.Results: In this study a total of 45 cases, 20 males and 25 females, aged 8-73 years, an average of 58 judges 15 years old, male 44.44%. NVM thromboembolism for congestive heart failure, arrhythmias and clinical manifestations, 45 patients were characterized by varying degrees of heart failure, 31 patients have heart palpitations, 2 cases of stroke or transient ischemic attack, because of myocardial infarction admission 1case.40 cases of x-ray examination in patients, 33 cases with enlarged hearts in various degrees. All patients ECG showed abnormal, there were 32 cases of patients with ST-T changes, 21 showed intraventricular block, 18 patients with ventricular arrhythmias. 21 patients do 24-hour ambulatory ECG prompted frequent ventricular premature beats rhythm, paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia. All patients by echocardiography, to diagnostic criteria of noncompaction of the myocardium with echocardiography, all patients seen trabeculae and deep recesses of big muscle, forming a network structure, recess slow blood flow in the heart communicates, lesions of the heart wall is divided into 2 layers, in which adult non-densification of densification of myocardium and cardiac muscle between the ratio of 2.0-3.6, the side wall an average of 2.28 ± 0.62 and back wall an average 2.33±0.73.27 patients with left ventricular ejection fraction is less than 30%, 13 cases of left ventricular ejection fraction in patients with 30%-50%, 5 patients with ejection fraction is greater than 50%. 43 cases of mitral regurgitation, Tricuspid Regurgitation in 26 cases, 16 cases of pericardial effusion, compared with control groups, average age closer to, the p-value =0.078, the difference was not statistically significant, reflects left ventricular systolic function indices including left ventricular, left ventricular ejection fraction rate compare p-value less than 0.01, and the difference was statistically significant.1 cases of cardiac magnetic resonance(CMR), 1 for the heart CT plus-enhanced inspection and are in line with the NVM characteristics change. Conclusion: Noncompaction of the myocardium clinically rare, low incidence, with progressive heart failure, systemic Embolic events, all kinds of arrhythmia as the main clinical manifestation. Ultrasonic inspection method and confirmed echocardiography is the most important means of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging in some extent complementary to it. Medications can treat symptoms to some extent.
