BackgroundWith the extensive application and continuous improvement, PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention) technology has become a routine therapy of coronary artery disease [1]. However, this therapy can only solve heart problem, the long-term prognoses of patients are still constrained by many risking factors. In order to consolidate and improve the effect of the therapy, it’s still necessary to take various rehabilitation measures. The definition of modem medicine for cardiac rehabilitation is "to have heart disease patients receive the best physical, mental and social conditions in which patients in the community to regain its position as normal as possible, and be able to live independently."ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical value of Integrative therapy in the rehabilitation process and to provide a way of finding reference medical rehabilitation programs for patients with coronary heart disease after PCI.MethodsThe patients with coronary heart disease diagnosed by WHO (World Health Organization) reference standand were choosed from the Department of Cardiovascular in our hospital during January 2014 to July 2014, using a completely random method. The 80 patients into two groups:Integrative Rehabilitation Group (40 cases, hereinafter referred to as "Rehabilitation Group") and the conventional therapy group (40 cases, hereinafter referred to as the "control group"). The rehabilitation group and control group were subjected to the same performance of Western conventional treatment, except the rehabi-litation group is subjected to the extra Integrative therapy. The data of 6-minute walk-test, left ventricular ejection fraction, ankle-brachial index (ABI) for patients in both groups during the three months long Rehabilitation processes were collected. After three months of observation, the values of integrative therapy, were evaluated using statistical method to analysis such data associated with the patient baseline data.ResultsRehabilitation group had 40 patients, with 21 males and 19 females, and age interval 60.25 ± 8.35, and the control group has 23males and 17 females, with age interval 58.08 ± 6.08.The deference of age, sex, number of diseased vessels, blood pressure, blood glucose, heart rate, heart rate and other basic information were taked into consideration, the results of statistical analysis showed that there has significant difference between the Rehabilitat-ion level of these two groups. It was found that the distances of movement in six-minute walk test had been improved to some extent in both groups. However, by paired t test, there is a significant difference between the two groups, with the results of the integrative therapy group were better than traditional therapy group (P<0.05). And as to the left ventricular ejection fraction, the rehabilitation group than was significantly better than the control group (P<0.05). Moreover, the ABI changed significantly in the rehabilitation group, however the control group goes the opposite way. Thus, there were has significant differences between these two groups.ConclusionThe integrative rehabilitation for the patients with coronary heart disease after PCI, can increase the 6 minutes walking distance, improve left ventricular ejection fraction, improve the ankle-brachial index. This indicates a positive reasonable rehabilitat-ion therapy for improving patients’exercise tolerance, enhancing heart function, prevent-ing artery stenosis. And it also has a positive meaning to improve the quality of the patie-nts’life.
