| Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of acupotome therapy of chondromalaciapatellae(liver and kidney deficiency type)through releasing the acupoints around knee. Toevaluate the feasibility, safety, effectiveness of the treatment of chondromalacia patellae byneedle-knife release. To provide the more simple and effective treatment for clinicians bycreating a safe, effective and less side effects of treatment.Methods:60cases in line with the inclusion criteria, were randomly divided intoneedle knife group (treatment group,30) and acupuncture group (control group,30).According to the Lysholm score and VAS score, compared the scores before and after thetreatment, as well as after the3months’ follow-up.Results:1.In both treatment group and control group, the difference of the Lysholmscores and VAS scores before and after the treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.After the treatment, the difference of the Lysholm scores between the treatment groupand the control group was not statistically significant(P>0.05), while the VAS scores hassignificant difference(P<0.05).3.After the3months, the difference of the Lysholm scoresand VAS scores between the treatment group and the control group was statisticallysignificant (P<0.05).4. After the end of treatment,in the treatment group,8cases werecured,15cases were markedly effective, effective in6cases and one case was ineffective, the total effective rate was96.7%; In the control group,5cases were cured,12cases weremarkedly effective,11cases were effective,2cases ineffective, the total effective rate was93.3%.After3months of follow-up, in the treatment group,15cases were cured,13caseswere markedly effective, effective in1cases and one case was ineffective, the totaleffective rate was96.7%; In the control group,8cases were cured,9cases were markedly effective,10cases were effective,3cases ineffective, the total effective rate was90.0%.Conclusions:Compared with the acupuncture points around the knee joint dredgingmeridian qi and blood, not only can acupotome release adhesions and contracture of thesoft tissue, but also can adjust the biomechanical balance. By comparison, both needleknife release and acupuncture have good clinical effect for the treatment ofchondromalacia patellae(liver and kidney deficiency type). The short-term effects have noobvious difference, but the treatment group was better than the control group in the long-term follow-up result. The method is relatively safe and simple, in addition to good clinicaleffect. It has the better advantage in clinical promotion. |
