Purpose: To observe the affection of percutaneous electro-stimulation on spermquantity and vitality of patients with idiopathic ologo/asthenospermia and differencesbetween different therapeutic frequency.Method:105patients with idiopathic ologo/asthenospermia were randomly dividedinto4groups as28for2Hz treatment group.26for100Hz treatment group,21forplacebo treatment group and30for control group. The sperm quantity/vitality and serumreproductive hormone/biochemical seminal plasma analysis of which includedFSH,LH,T/seminal plasma neutral α glucosidase, seminal fructose and seminal plasmazinc before and after a course of treatment were compared between and in the groups.Rusult: The curative effect of2Hz group was significantly better than the rest3groups (P<0.05).Sperm count and motility were improved obviously (P<0.05);And Nosignificant changes were found in other groups. In the comparison of hormone/biochemicalanalysis of FSH/seminal plasma between the groups before and after the treatment, therewere significant improvements in the seminal fructose and seminal plasma zinc of2Hzgroup and seminal plasma neutral α glucosidase and seminal plasma zinc of100Hz group(P<0.05), and there was also an improvement in seminal plasma neutralαglucosidase of2Hz group, which had no statistical differences. No significance was found in the variationsof other groups.Consults: The therapy that percutaneous electro-stimulation at acupoint has asignificant effect on male ologo/asthenospermia.
