Objective:To evaluate the clinical value of Ligasure and UHS techniques in cervical cancer surgery.Methods:This is a prospective randomized controlled tl/rial.By setting inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, screening52observations of cervical cancer in treatment of transabdominal radical hysterectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection without Ligasure from October2011to December2013are selected as control group;53observations of cervical cancer in treatment of transabdominal radical hysterectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection with Ligasure from October2011to December2013are selected as research group. Before surgery, all observations (1) were diagnosed cervical cancer with clear stage,(2) suffered no serious medical or surgical diseases, and (3) received no radiotherapy and chemotherapy. This experiment collects data of operation time, blood loss in operation and length of hospital stay as response variable, and tries to infer whether the application of Ligasure vessel sealing system or UHS in transabdominal radical hysterectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection will significantly affect the abovementioned variables.Results:(1)Operation time:Operation time of control groups is160-295min(207.15±35.66min), whereas that of reseaech group is122~278min (162.92±35.61min). We can conclude there is significant improvement in operation time by introducing Ligasure (p<0.05).(2)Blood loss in operation: Blood loss in operation of control groups is300~1800ml(720.19±352.90ml), whereas that of reseaech group is120~1500ml(591.51±286.57ml). We can conclude there is significant improvement in blood loss in operation by introducing Ligasure (p<0.05).(3)Hospital stay:length of hospital stay of control groups is10~34days(16.85±5.73days), whereas that of reseaech group is9~28days(15.20±4.05days).We cannot reject the hypothesis of there is no differences between in length of hospital stay by introducing Ligasure (p=0.09).Conclusion:The application of Ligasure vessel sealing system can significantly reduce time of operation and blood loss in operation, however its impactions of length of hospital stay remains for further research. Ligasure vessel sealing system is characterized with hemostatic reliable, small thermal conductivity, and no foreign bodies in vivo and etc. For its merits of fast hemostatic control and no complicated ligation, it can significantly reduce the operation time and blood loss in operation. Hence, it can be promoted in other gynecological tumor surgeries.
