Objective: To observe the effect of Wenshenzhuanggu Granule on primary I patientswith osteoporosis and bone turnover markers, bone mineral density. Methods: The design of this study adopted the method of randomized, blinded, controlled.Divided the60patients who met inclusion criteria and signed informed consentrandomly into treatment group of30cases,30cases in the control group. Treatment groupwas treated with Wenshenzhuanggu granula combined with Caltrate D, the control grouponly with Caltrate D, two groups were treated for3months as a course, two courses wereobserved. Observe serum PINP,β-crosslaps,bone mineral density and TCM clinicalsymptoms.Results:(1) Effects of Wenshenzhuanggu granules on the serum PINP: comparison of twogroups after3months in between, no significant difference (P>0.05), shows considerableeffect.6months after taking their medication compared with before the serum PINP are allreduced, said there was statistically significant difference (P <0.05); medication after6months, treatment group compared with the control group, the results and the statisticaldifference (P <0.05), explain the treatment group than in the control group is moreeffective in reducing serum PINP concentration.(2) Effects of Wenshenzhuanggu granules on the serum β-crosslaps: the two groupsafter3months of medication, respectively, compared with baseline3months after takingthe two groups compared the two results showed no significant difference (P>0.05). After6months of medication to control group before treatment compared with each other, theresult is not statistically significant (P>0.05), but the treatment group after6months laterserumβ-crosslaps decreased, compared with before treatment, the results and the statisticaldifference (P <0.05). After6months of medication treatment group and control group, statistically significant results and significant (P <0.05). The treatment group caneffectively reduce the serum β-crosslaps than in the control group.(3) Effects of Wenshenzhuanggu granules on bone mineral density:6months afterlumbar spine and left femoral neck bone density increased. Group therapy group andcomparison is meaningless, lumbar spine bone density at6months (P>0.05); the leftfemoral neck BMD medication after6months, treatment group and control group with asignificant difference between the control, obviously (P <0.05), said the treatment groupcan effectively improve the the left femoral neck bone density more than in the controlgroup.(4) Effects of Wenshenzhuanggu granules on TCM symptoms: treatment group totaleffectiveness is89.283%higher than the efficiency of50%treatment group the curativeeffect is better than the control group the control group (P <0.05); the treatment groupcompared with the control group, the improvement of leg cramps, low back pain, TCMsymptoms integral better than the control group (P <0.05); lower extremity pain symptomsat6months after treatment no statistical difference (P>0.05), but the treatment groupshowed improvement in the trend of larger.(5) Safety evaluation of Wenshenzhuanggu Granula: patients treated with warmingkidney Zhuanggu particles of blood, urine, and three conventional and hepatic and renalfunction showed no abnormality, without adverse reaction.Conclusion:1. the Wenshenzhuanggu Granula with Caltrate D tablets in the treatment of primary Itype osteoporosis has a good therapeutic effect than the simple use of Caltrate with vitaminD treatment.2. the treatment group in improving the left femoral neck BMD, serum PINP, β-crosslaps regulation level was better than the control group.3.Wenshenzhuanggu Granule could inhibit the high turnover rate of the bone.
