| Objective: To investigate the correlation between the expression of serum matrixmetalloproteinase9(MMP-9) and Endostatin (ES) in patients with primary lung cancerand their X ray, CT and DSA imaging appearances.Method: Data of images (X ray, CT, DSA) and clinical were collected from55cases with primary lung cancer undergoing treatment, who had been comfirmed bypathological. The laboratory application of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISA) for quantitative detection of serum MMP-9and Endostatin of55lung cancerpatients and55normal controls, finally the relationship was evaluated between theserum MMP-9, Endostatin expression level and the imaging appearances of X ray, CT,DSA.Results:[1] The concentration of serum MMP-9and Endostatin in lung cancerpatients were significantly higher than normal controls, the difference was statisticallysignificant (P=0.000<0.01);[2] The tumor size, deep lobulation and piculation of lungcancer lesions on X ray, CT images were related to the expression levels of serumMMP-9, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01); but the expression levelsof serum Endostatin was only related to the tumor size. The disease location, pleuralindentation, necrotic cavity, blocking changes, pleural effusion were not related to theexpression level of them.[3]31cases in all accepted DSA which were showed that11cases were rich blood-supply,5cases were poor blood-supply and15cases were middle blood–supply. The concentration of serum MMP-9and Endostatin were relatedto the different blood supply,difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).[4]According to the clinical TNM stage of lung cancer,there were15cases inâ… +â…¡period,22cases in â…¢period and18cases in IV period. There was significant differencebetween the expression level of serum MMP-9, Endostatin and TNM stage. â…£periodgroup was the highest concentration whileâ… +â…¡period group was the lowest.Conclusion:[1] The expression levels of serum MMP-9and Endostatin in lungcancer patients were higher than normal controls, which can be used as tumor markersin the diagnosis of cancer.[2] Some signs of lung cancer on X-ray, CT with theexpression of serum MMP-9showed a significant correlation which could estimate thetumor’s ability of proliferation, invasion and metastasis.[3] The blood supply situationon DSA appearance of lung cancer combined with expression levels of serum MMP-9and Endostatin can reflect the condition of tumor angiogenesis, and can be used as thebasis for anti-angiogenesis therapy.[4] The concentration of serum MMP-9andendostatin were related to the clinical TNM stage, which will have a certain value toestimate the tumor’s degree of malignancy, treatment monitoring and prognosis. |
