Clinical Research Of Xinxiang Penbi Nanoemulsion In The Treatment Of Pediatric Allergic Rhinitis

Objective:By observing the changes of symptoms and signs scores of children with allergic rhinitis before and after treatment, the clinical efficacy and safety of Xinxiang Penb Nanoemulsion Spray to kids’allergic rhinitis is to be further conformed, which will provide a new drug and a new dosage form for this disease.Methods:Select 180 cases from pediatrics outpatient of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital between October 2012 and March 2015, with the cases in line with the Western diagnosis and lung-qi deficiency and inner coldness syndrome of TCM diagnostic criteria.180 cases are randomly divided into treatment group (120 cases) and control group (6( cases). The treatment group are treated by Xinxiang Penbi Nanoemulsion Spray; The contro group by Budesonide nasal spray (trade name:Renault Scott). Both of two groups do nasa exercises simultaneously. After a period of treatment (4 weeks), symptoms and signs scores ar compared with original scores before treatment respectively and between two groups. At the same time, through the observation of adverse reactions, preliminary evaluation to its security will be made.Results:At the end of the observation period, in the treatment group, there are 8 ineffectiv cases,75 effective ones,37 markedly effective ones, with marked effective rate 30.83% and tota effective rate 93.33%; In the control group, there are 4 ineffective cases,11 effective ones,4 markedly effective ones, with markedly effective rate 75.00% and total effective rat 93.33%.Comparative difference of the markedly effective rate is statistically significant (P< 0.05), but comparative difference of the total effective rate has no statistical significanc (P>0.05). Although the effect of Xinxiang Penbi Nanoemulsion Spray is not as good a Budesonide nasal spray, the former can effectively relief primary symptoms, such as sneezing runny nose, stuffy nose, nasal itching, and second symptoms, such as cough and dilute sputum shortness of breath, pale faces (all P<0.05), and can obviously relieve the inferior turbinat swelling (P<0.05), with no adverse reaction in the process of treatment.Conclusion:Xinxiang Penbi Nanoemulsion Spray is curative and safe in treating childrei allergic rhinitis with lung-qi deficiency and inner coldness syndrome.
