Clinical Observation Of Self Spleen Yuye Decoction Combined With Acupoint Application In The Treatment Of Diabetic Diarrhea

Objective:To observe the curative effect of Self Spleen Yuye Decoction combined with acupoint application in treating patients with diabetic diarrhea.Methods:Fifty-three patients with diabetic diarrhea, who are the inpatients of the traditional hospital of YanCheng between October 2012 to December 2013.A random number table grouping method,27 were divided into treatment group and control group in 26 cases. It has no statistical difference in the sex, age, course of the disease, fasting blood glucose,2 hour postprandial blood glucose, motilin and total score of TCM symptoms before treatment between the two groups(P>0.05).The treatment group adopt Self Spleen Yuye Decoction combined with acupoint application while the control group using montmorillonite powder. One month for a period of treatment, observe curative effect after one period of treatment. Before and after the treatment, observe and record the two groups’main symptoms, secondary symptoms, motilin, blood glucose and adverse reactions. And the two groups’ data is statistically analyzed to draw conclusions.Results:After one month of treatment, it shows that the treatment group’s total effective rate was 88.89%, while the control group’s total effective rate was 53.85%,comparing the two groups have significant difference (P<0.05). It has significant difference in improving the symptoms including diarrhea, abdominal distension, abdominal pain, anorexia, fatigue, abdominal nausea, between the two groups(P<0.05). It has very significant difference in improving fatigued and lazy word between the two groups(P<0.01). Both groups can improve borborygmus, it has no difference between the two groups, there is no statistical difference (P>0.05).Both groups can lower the motilin and glucose, but the treatment group is better than the control group(P<0.05). The 53 patients tested have no adverse reactions related to the drug in the observation process.Conclusion:The curative effect of Self Spleen Yuye Decoction combined with acupoint application in treating patients with diabetic diarrhea is better than that of the control group and also has high safety. The treatment group can obviously relieve diarrhea, abdominal distention, abdominal pain, improve the patient’s motilin, glucose, and other laboratory indexes in patients with diabetic diarrhea. It preliminary suggests that traditional Chinese medicine has the advantage and high safety in treating patients with diabetic diarrhea, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
