Objective: This study by way of observing the effect of Yang Yin Jiang Ya Tang(the original Three sub-Yin Decoction), on the blood pressure of patients with essential hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy, echocardiographic indicators, kidney function, blood lipid, blood glucose and its clinical effects of symptoms. Explore the Yang Yin Jiang Ya Tang on the curative effect of left ventricular hypertrophy in patients with hypertension, and observe the clinical efficacy of combination of Western medicine and TCM and Western medicine group differences, then searching more effective treatments for elderly patients with essential hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. Methods: Choose diagnostic criteria of hypertension, 60 years of age, and echocardiography for determining the presence of left ventricular hypertrophy in patients of 90 cases, which were collected from inpatients during July 2013 to September 2014. Based on a random number table, randomly selected from 90 subjects 30 cases regarded as control group, received Western medicine treatment. The remaining 60 subjects according to the standard classification of hypertensive disease in TCM diagnosis, which comply with Yin deficiency of liver and kidney of 21 subjects as the treatment group A, on the basis of existing conventional Western medicine, joint Yang Yin Jiang Ya Tang. And the remaining 39 patients with other types of subject as the treatment Group B, on the basis of existing conventional Western medicine, joint the corresponding prescriptions. The three groups were both treated for half a year. Observe changes, between before and after the treatment,in three groups upon blood pressure(include SBP, DBP and PP),echocardiographic indicators(such as IVSTd, VPWTd, LVDd, LVMI),renal function, blood lipids and blood glucose. And count up TCM syndromes in integral calculation, then determine the clinical curative effect. Statistical analysis the data obtained using SPSS17.0.Results:(1).General information on the three groups of patients:name, sex, age, height, weight, duration of illness, blood lipids, blood glucose and so on, there is no significant statistical difference(P>0.05).(2).Blood pressure: The treatment group A before and after treatment of systolic blood pressure decreased significantly, with significant statistical differences(P<0.01),diastolic blood pressure didn’t decrease, and do not have significant statistical differences(P>0.05). The treatment group B before and after treatment of systolic blood pressure decreased significantly, with significant statistical differences(P<0.01),diastolic blood pressure was declining, there was a statistically significant difference(P<0.05). The control group before and after treatment of systolic blood pressure decreased significantly, with significant statistical differences(P<0.05), diastolic blood pressure was also declining, there was a statistically significant difference(P<0.05). By comparing, treatment group A and treatment group B effect of systolic blood pressure control much more when compared with the control group. What’s more, when it comes to the diastolic blood pressure, there is no negative effects with treatment group A.(3).Echocardiographic indicators: Three groups of patients before and after treatment of echocardiographic parameters IVSTd, IVPWTd, LVDd, LVMI indicator has decreased significantly, with statistical significance(P<0.05); Treatment group A in the treatment of left ventricular mass index have more advantages than the treatment group B and control group, there is also a significant difference(P<0.05).(4).Clinical manifestation:For dizziness, headaches, dry eyes and touching, upset hot five, lumbar debility, insomnia, forgetfulness, heart palpitations and tinnitus symptoms improved, treatment group A in the treatment of clinical manifestation is better than the treatment group B and control group, and compared the three groups by statistical tests(P<0.05), a statistically significant difference.(5).Side effect:In the treatment group A one have a dry cough occurs, another case of nausea; and in the treatment group B, there were two cases of edema; three dry cough occurred in the control group, there were two cases of edema, patients were tolerable, never stopped midway through medication.(6).Safety indices: renal function, blood lipid, blood glucose before and after treatment of the treatment group B and control group showed no significant difference(P>0.05). The treatment group A had no significant change in blood glucose before and after treatment(P>0.05), but the treatment group A of renal function and blood lipid after treatment effectively reduced (P<0.05), which means the treatment group A has the role of reducing lipid and protecting renal function. Conclusion: From this clinical study, Yang Yin Jiang Ya Tang combined with Western medicine treatment in lowering blood pressure, improving heart structure, mitigate or eliminate clinical signs of efficacy as compared with Western medicine in treating even more significant, which prove Yang Yin Jiang Ya Tang has better clinical curative effect of nourishing yin, and it is Yang Yin Jiang Ya Tang that provides an effective means for the future on clinical hypertension research.
