Background:With Chinese medical industry became more and more deeply, it will bring a big impact to public hospitals. If public hospitals wanted to get more develop space in the fierce of competition in the future, they must formed a unique culture which enhanced the brand competitiveness, then the hospitals could get a longer development. Thus, hospital cultural construction had become a primary task for public hospitals. Hospital culture was the summary of the course of the spiritual and material civilization in constant construction and development of hospitals, and it was the key for core competitiveness of hospitals. For Chinese public hospitals, as the particularity of the medical profession, hospital cultural construction could not copy the general patterns of enterprise culture construction and outcome. Therefore, culture was still a task of major public hospitals. From an overall point of view, construction of hospital culture did’ t match the economic and material aspects of the development of hospital and hospital culture construction lagged the economic substance of the hospital development, therefore, it has a great practical significance of hospital culture construction.Objective:In this study, four conprehensive public hospitals were investigated to understand the current situation of the hospital staff on hospital culture construction, to find out the cognitive attitude and influence factor through a variety of methods such as interviews and questionnaires, and to make suggestions of strengthening the construction of hospital culture.Methods:Basis On the corporate identity system to adjust the composition of the hospital culture questionnaire, form the research required questionnaire which we need. By seeking expertise’ advice, taking adjustments and modifications to the original questionnaire furtherly, finally form the final questionnaire. A total of 200 questionnaires were issued, of which 171 valid questionnaires were recycling, the effective recovery rate is 85.5%. SPSS 19.0 software was applied to perform frequency analysis.Results:1. Awareness of hospital culture17.0% of the respondents is complete understanding of the hospital culture, basic understanding is 64.9%, the general understanding is 18.1%, and there don’t have respondents misunderstand the phenomenon. The accounted for the highest proportion is basic understand, we can see that large logarithmic concerned hospital staff on hospital culture and understanding. The respondents who thinking our culture has developed its own characteristics of hospital is 63.4%, most respondents think the construction of hospital culture has formed its own characteristics, identify our culture.2. Mind Identity(MI)More than half of the hospital workers agreed "spirit of innovation", "advanced technology" and "service-oriented" was the core concept of hospital culture; on "management philosophy" has its 64.8% of respondents take a negative attitude, the former as a hospital’s mission both in the community and is known within the industry is basically unified, but lack of management concepts and problems.66.1% of employee goals and strategies on hospital development did not have a comprehensive and in-depth, 19.9% of the hospital workers had no idea the hospital’s development goals and strategies.3. Behavior Identity(BI)Internal recognition, 49.3% of those polled consider that the hospital system and to improve the policy occasionally amended 25.4% of respondents said they did not know whether the hospital system and policies have been perfecting amendment can be seen, hospital policy, and policy is relatively backward, the underpass is blocked; 63.6% of clinical nurses and 47.7% of medical technicians that the hospital pay is unfair. External recognition, cultural and propaganda activities 62.0% of respondents believe hospitals, but still needs to be further strengthened. Facilities satisfactory to the hospital environment medical technicians choose among "quite satisfactory" proportionally(the ratio is 62.5%), selection of clinical nurses as "unsatisfactory" high proportion(the ratio is 54.5%).4. Visual Identity(VI)The respondents expressed general satisfaction with the logo design survey of hospitals.Conclusion:Hospital culture construction is still in stage of development, lacking distinct characteristics. The corporate identity system played a active role for the construction of hospital culture, but we need pay attention to keep perfectly renewed and improvement timely; the inner management of the hospital still need strengthen; the staff of different posts had different requirement and degree of satisfaction, so we needs to further improve relevant systems and environmental infrastructure.
