Basic Experimental Medicine is an independent and systematic experimental course, which is one of the core curriculum of basic medicine, mainly divided into two parts including theory and experimental. Since the limitation of educational resources, the variable level of teachers and the teaching method, there are many problems in students, such as low level of knowledge-internalization, insufficient ability of self-learning, lack of practical and creative spirit, and so on. As a new education pattern, flipped classroom turns the conventional classroom activities, learning resources are distributed to the students in the form of video, task lists or extended materials before the class, students are required to learn, internalize and communicate by themselves through the internet before class. An in-depth discussion and analysis between teachers and students, students themselves is carried out in the class, in order to give full play to the dominant position of students, improve the learning level and quality, enhance the teaching effect. And fortunately, this model consistent with the goal what we have been seeking for resolving the problems in teaching of Basic Experimental Medicine. In this thesis, taking the two chapters of “Literature Review and Experimental Design†featuring of theory and “Replication of Hypoxia Model and Its Influencing Factors†based on practice as test examples, selecting 60 students of five-year clinical medicine of 2012 grade as research objects, and 57 students in two other classes as the control. A variety of research methods such as literature research, survey method, empirical research, curriculum learning are employed, a new curriculum system is designed, the effect of application is tested and evaluated in multi dimensions and aspects, which provides recommendations for basic medical education by flipping classroom. The research content of this work mainly includes the following parts: first stage of pre-test research. The existing actual situation in teaching of Basic Experimental Medicine is grasped and analyzed by collecting the relevant literature, in-depth investigating of the questionnaire. Second stage of design and practice. Teaching system of flipped classroom used in Basic Experimental Medicine is designed based on the results of the pre-test analysis, and applied in the two chapters, theory and experiment. And last stage of analysis and summary. The learning effect is analyzed comprehensively through the questionnaire survey, homework, scientific research, and daily performance.Successful experience has been harvested through practical application of the flipped classroom, however, shortcomings and problems also existing. An optimized solution is proposed based on the correct analysis and summary, which provides thinking and prospects for future research on flipped classroom. |
