Jiawei Banxia Xiexin Decoction On Patients Of Hp-associated Chronic Gastritis Of Spleen Stomach Damp Heat Syndrome : A Randomized Controlled Trial

Objective: To observe the clinical curative effect of Jiawei Banxia Xiexin Decoction on patients with Hp-associated Chronic Gastritis of Spleen Stomach Damp Heat according to rates of Hp-eradicate, improvement of clinical symptom, transformation of gastroscopic pathology, and adverse reactions rates. We expect these results would provide clinical evidence to Jiewei Banxia Xiexin Decoction for Hp-associated Chronic Gastritis of Spleen Stomach Damp Heat.Methods: 60 patients with Hp-associated Chronic Gastritis of Spleen Stomach Damp Heat were allocated randomly in the trial group(N=30) and control group(N=30). The control group underwent the PPI triple therapy(Rabeprazole capsule 20 mg, Amoxicillin capsule,1.0g; Clarithromycin tablets 0.5g, Bid, p.o), while the trial group underwent taking orally Jiewei Banxia Xiexin Decoction(a daily dose, Tid) plus the PPI triple therapy. The course of treatment last fourteen days in both group. We evaluated the rates of Hp-eradicate, improvement of clinical symptom, transformation of gastroscopic pathology, and adverse reactions rates on the first day(baseline) and on the forty-second day respectively. Data were analyzed and the results were compared.Results:(1) The total curative effect: The clinical effective rate in the trial group and control group was 93.3% and 73.3 %, respectively, and the trial group had advantage over the control group(P<0.05).(2) TCM symptoms score: There was a significant decrease in TCM symptoms score in both group on the forty-second day compared with baseline(P<0.05), meanwhile, the TCM symptoms score in the trial group was lower than that of the control group on the forty-second day(P<0.05).(3) Hp eradication rate: Hp eradication rate was 90.0% in the trial group, while it was 66.7% in the control group. Hp eradication rate of the trial group was obviously higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).(4) Improvement of gastroscopic pathology: The total effective rate in the trial group and control group was 90% and 70%, respectively, and the trial group had advantage over the control group(P<0.05).(5) The pathological score: There was a significant decrease in the pathological score in both group on the forty-second day compared with baseline(P<0.05), meanwhile, the the pathological score in the trial group was lower than that of control group on the forty-second day(P<0.05).(6) The incidence of adverse reaction: The incidence of adverse reaction in the trial group and control group was 3.3% and 20%, respectively, and the trial group had advantage over the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: Jiawei Banxiaxiexin decoction increases the Hp eradication rate, decrease the TCM symptoms score, pathological score, the incidence of adverse reaction, and improves gastroscopy of patients with Hp-associated Chronic Gastritis of Spleen Stomach Damp Heat. These results suggest that Jiawei Banxia xiexin decoction has a positive curative effect.
