Clinical Study On Chuan Hu Tongbi Mixture In The Treatment Of Gouty Arthritis

OBJECTIVE: Study on Chuan Hu Tongbi mixture in the treatment of gouty arthritis clinical efficacy and safety.METHODS: Selecting February 2014 to October 2014 were treated in the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University endocrine outpatient department from 150 cases of gouty arthritis patients as the research object. Using random number table method,all patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 75 cases each group of patients,the two groups of patients with gender, age, course of disease, etc. Significant difference compared, experiment with comparable. All of the patients were taken alkaline urine processing with Sodium bicarbonate. The control group was treated with Colchicine, Benzene bromine Malone treatment, the acute gouty arthritis patients was used Colchicine orally 2 times a day, 0.5mg, and Chuan Hu Tongbi mixture mimetic agent 250 ml times a day orally. The chronic gouty arthritis patients was used Benzene bromine Malone 50 mg, orally 1 times a day and Chuan Hu Tongbi mixture mimetic agent 250 ml times a day orally; acute and chronic gouty arthritis patients in the observation group were Chuan Hu Tongbi mixture 250 ml treatment, 2 times a day orally, respectively. The acute gouty arthritis patients was added Colchicine mimetic agent(The way of taking this drug was same as the control group), the chronic gouty arthritis patients was added Benzene bromine Malone mimetic agent(The way of taking this drug was same as the control group). The course was 8 weeks. Before and after the test, compared two groups of patients with blood uric acid(UA) levels, joint pain, joint function, frequency of acute attack of gout, liver function(ALT, AST), renal function(BUN, Cr), fasting blood glucose(GLU) and blood lipid examination(TG, TC), erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),blood routine(Rt), C-reaction protein(CRP) and other indicators.RESULTS: The observation group and the control group the total effective rate was 92% and 86.67%, 95%CI value is greater than a preset limit is-13.02%, the non inferiority of-15%, non inferiority test pass. But the incidence of adverse reaction of the control group(26.67%) was significantly higher than that of the observation group(6.67%).The observation group and the control group after treatment with blood uric acid(UA) levels,liver function(ALT, AST), renal function(BUN, Cr)and other indicators significantly improved compared with before treatment, P<0.05, with statistical significance. However, the differences of the other index were not statistically significant(P> 0.05).CONCLUSION: The clinical efficacy of Chuan Hu Tongbi mixture for the treatment of gouty arthritis is not inferior to routine western medicine treatment. But Chuan Hu Tongbi mixture treatment can significantly reduce the recurrence rate of patients, improve the degree of pain and quality of life in patients with clinical application and popularization value.
