Objective To analyze the obvious and hidden blood loss and the risk factoers of hidden blood loss after operation intertrochanteric fractures in old patients treated with proximal femoral nails anti-rotation blade.Method A retrospective analysis was made on the clinical data of 165 cases of intertrochanteric fractures treated by PFNA from Jau,1,2010-Nov,1,2014, and the obvious, hidden blood loss after operations was univariate analyzed, using SPSS 13.0 statistical package.Result The mean blood loss of(542.68±128.44) ml was found in 165 cases after operations. The mean obvious blood loss was(142.93±55.03)ml,while the hidden blood loss was(389.97±76.79)ml,univariate analysis showed hidden blood loss was significantly higher in variable as follows:age, blood transfusion and bone mineral density. Conclusion There were much hidden blood loss in PFNA for inter-trochanter fracture internal fixation after operation. It is very important to supplement the blood volume during periopretive period.
