Clinical Study On The Efficacy Of Electro Acupuncture Combine With Cupping Therapy In Treating Simple Obesity Of Different Traditional Chinese Medicine Patterns Of Syndrome

Objective: to observe the effect on treating simple obesity of different traditional Chinese medicine patterns of syndrome by electro acupuncture combined with cupping therapy,the effect on differences and the size of difference, to enrich acupuncture and moxibustion for data of simple obesity,in order to provide the practical and reliable clinical evidences on treatment of simple obesity, to better guide clinical practice.Methods: The subjects according to simple obesity TCM standards divided into 30 case of the stomach heat and dampness syndrome type, 30 cases of the spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation type, 30 cases of the asthenia of both the spleen and kidney type, every groups were treated by electro acupuncture combined with cupping therapy, the main acupoints: Shuifen, Zhongwan, Tianshu(2), Qihai, Belt Vessel(2), Zusanli(2); Coordination of acupoints: the stomach heat and dampness syndrome type add Hegu(1), Quchi(1), Zhigou(1), Shangjuxu(2); the spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation type add Fenglong(2), Pishu(2), Sanyinjiao(2); the asthenia of both the spleen and kidney type add Guanyuan, Pishu(2), Shenshu(2). After getting Qi in routine acupuncture,stimulation the acupuncture points 30 minutes using XS-998 B type Low frequency pulse electro acupuncture therapeutic apparatus by choose the dilatational wave which is tolerable intensity on patients. After acupuncture, cupping in abdomen(Zhongwan, Shuifen, Tianshu, Belt Vessel Qihai), staying 10 mintues.1 times a day, 10 times as a course of treatment, the interval between two course of treatment for 3 days, a total of two treatment courses.Results: 1.The results of three groups pre and post treatment their own body weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, fat percentage, BMI were statistical significance(P<0.05). Indicating that electro acupuncture combined with cupping have therapeutic effect on the stomach heat and dampness syndrome group, the spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation group, the asthenia of both the spleen and kidney group of simple obesity.2. Clinical effect: after 2 courses of treatment, the total efficiency rate of the stomach heat and dampness syndrome group, the spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation group, the asthenia of both the spleen and kidney group respectively was 90%, 86.7%,76.7%, comparison of the stomach heat and dampness syndrome group and the spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation group, the asthenia of both the spleen and kidney group, were statistical significance(P<0.05); comparison of the spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation group and the asthenia of both the spleen and kidney group, were no statistical significance(P>0.05).3. The observation indexes:(1) after 2 courses of treatment, comparison of the stomach heat and dampness syndrome group and the spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation group, were statistical significance(P<0.05), there were no significant difference between weight, hip circumference and fat rate differences(P>0.05); there were significant difference between the stomach heat and dampness syndrome group and the asthenia of both the spleen and kidney groups for comparison of various indexes(P<0.05); there were no significant difference between comparison of the spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation group and the asthenia of both the spleen and kidney group(P>0.05).(2) Three groups comparison on the difference of observation indexes on pre and post treatment, comparison of the stomach heat and dampness syndrome group and the spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation group, the difference were statistically significant(P<0.05); comparison of the stomach heat and dampness syndrome group and the asthenia of both the spleen and kidney group, were statistical significance(P<0.05); comparison of the spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation group and the asthenia of both the spleen and kidney group, the difference of body weight, waist circumference, BMI, were statistical significance(P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between hip circumference and fat rate(P>0.05).Conclusion: The electro acupuncture combined with cupping therapy had good clinical effect on treating simple obesity of the stomach heat and dampness syndrome type, the spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation type, the asthenia of both the spleen and kidney type, had been proved a practical and reliable means of treatment. Comparison between groups, the stomach heat and dampness syndrome type curative effect is better than that of the spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation type, but not ideal; the stomach heat and dampness syndrome type curative effect is better than that of the asthenia of both the spleen and kidney type, the difference was obvious; the asthenia of both the spleen and kidney type curative effect is better than that of the asthenia of both the spleen and kidney type, but the difference was not obvious.
