Objective:To investigate the effect of carbon dioxide pneumoperitoneum on intraocular pressure(IOP) and choroid immunohistochemical changes about Atrial Natriuretic Polypeptide(ANP) in rabbits. Also to prevent clinical perioperative visual impairment during laparoscopic surgery.Methods:20 rabbits were randomly divided into control group and pneumoperitoneum group.Drop 1% dicaine to eyes for surface anesthesia, use contanct tonometer to measure intraocular pressure(IOP) for three times. Propofol 6-8mg/ kg/h was pumped continuously by ear marginal vein to maintain anesthesia, tracheotomy and mechanical control breath to maintain circulation stability. Pneumoperitoneum model were built by OLYMPUS automatic pneumoperitoneum machine and pressure were constanted between 10 mm Hg, IOP, MAP and HR were recorded before induction of anesthesia(T0),3h after pneumoperitoneum(T1), 4h after pneumoperitoneum(T2),5h after pneumoperitoneum(T3), 6h after pneumoperitoneum(T4), the control group did not exert pneumoperitoneum. In the corresponding time after operation, rabbits were executed on schedule, choroid and optic nerve specimen were fixed with 10% parafomaldehyde, dehydration, paraffin embedding and make slice, the pathological change was observed by light microscopy. Another choroid slice were immunohistochemical experied and observate ANP changes by aperio Scascope digital pathology image scanning system,Calculation under each high power field of vision grayscale values do statistical analysis. Results:There were no significant difference before and after operation about IOP in control group(P>0.05). IOP in pneumoperitoneum group were significantly higher than that of T0 and compared with control group there were significant differences(P<0.05).Pneumoperitoneum later choroid ANP content increased but with pneumoperitoneum prolonged ANP content gradually decreased, the level is lower than the control group.Conclution:Long time pneumoperitoneum can cause intraocular pressure of the rabbit increased and ANP of choroid reduced.
