AbstractObjective:To compare the clinical efficacy between Triple-Endobutton plates with double-incision and clavicular hook plate for the treatment of acromioclavicular joint dislocation. To provide a clinical theory method for the treatment of acromioclavicular joint dislocation. Methods : A retrospective study analyzes 36 acute acromioclavicular joint dislocation cases which were operated by the same surgeon in the orthopedic department of Fujian Medical University Union Hospital from Mar 2011 to Apr 2014.The date of the cases was collected from medical record and follow-up,all cases were followed up 12 months at least.16 patients were treated by Triple-Endobutton plates via double-incision(group A),20 patients were treated by clavicular hook plate(group B).Group A included 9 male cases and 7 female cases, the patients?s age were range from 28 from 72 years and 48.6 years of average age.The course of diseas was 1 to 19 days and the average was 9.7 days,6 patients were Roockwood III type,10 patients were Roockwood IV type. Group B included 11 male cases and 9 female cases, the patients?s age were range from 26 from 76 yeas and 45.8 years of average age.The course of diseas was 1 to 18 days and the average was 6.7 days,9 patients were Roockwood III type,11 patients were Roockwood IV type. There is no significant difference in basic information between two groups. To contrast analyzs operation time, intraoperative blood loss,VAS score on second day postoperation. the shoulder function of Karlsson score on 12 th month. All date outcome was analyzed by SPSS 19.0,there is statistical signification when the P<0.05.Results : Two groups of average operation time and intraoperative blood loss, group A were 110.31±23.77 min and 135.31±29.12 ml,group B were 80.00±21.01 min and 79.05±14.62 ml,it were statistical significant(P<0.05); VAS score on second day postoperation showed no significant difference in two groups; The shoulder function of Karlsson score on 12 th month in group A higher than group B [93.75%(15/16)vs 80%( 16/20) ],but the difference was not statistical significant(P> 0.05);There is no incision infection in A group, one in group B.Conclusions : The clinical efficacy was considerable in two groups. Triple-Endobutton Plates technique is a effective method to treat acute Acromioclavicular joint dislocation.
