Comparison Of The Efficacy Of Endoscopic Placement Of Biliary Stent In Treatment Of Malignant Biliary Obstruction

Objective To explore the clinical effectiveness of endoscopic placement of biliary stent in treatment of malignant biliray obstruction.Methods From January 2007 and June 2013, patients in our hospital treated with endoscopic biliary stenting were enrolled. According to the different stent placement, patients were divided into single plastic stent group, double plastic stent group and metallic stent group. The success rate, the drainage outcomes,the early complications, the stent patency and survival were compared.Results The success rates of single plastic stent group, metal stent group were significantly higher than that of the double plastic stent group(P<0.05), the difference was not statistically significant between metal stent group and single plastic stent group(P>0.05). The liver function significantly improved compared with that of the preoperative(P<0.05).The rate of early complication of the single plastic stent group was significantly higher than that in double stent group, metal stent group(P<0.05), there was no significant difference between metal bracket and double plastic stent group(P > 0.05). The stent patency time of the double plastic stent group was significantly longer than that in the single plastic stent group, the metallic stent group was significantly longer than that in the double plastic stent group(P<0.05).There no significant difference of survival time in the all groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Endoscopic placement biliary stent can effectively alleviate the clinical symptoms of obstructive jaundice. The metal stent patency time was significantly longer than the double plastic stent group, the double plastic stent patency time was significantly longer than the single plastic stent group,and the rate of early complication of the metal stent was lower than the plastic stent group. Therefore,metallic stents should be chose for the greater life expectancy.
