| Objective: The questionnaire survey was carried out on breast cancer patients in a tertiary hospital in Qiqihar to investigate the mental health status of breast cancer patients during treatment, and to further explore and study the influence factors of mental health in patients with breast cancer. So as to relieve the mental burden and improve their quality of life, our study could provide new intervention targets and theoretical ideas.Methods: The questionnaire survey was conducted on 120 patients with breast cancer, and described the general characteristics of patients. In addition, the study used the general statistical description(frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, etc.), Pearson chi square test and analysis of variance to analyze the factors affecting the mental health of breast cancer patients.Result: The scores of 120 breast cancer patients’ mental health were less than the reference value(P<0.05); There were statistical differences for different ages breast cancer patients in mental health of the 9 dimensions and the general mean scores(P<0.001); There were statistical differences for patients in different marital status in mental health of the 9 dimensions and the general mean scores(P <0.05); There were statistical differences for patients with different educational levels in mental health of the 9 dimensions and the general mean scores(P <0.05); There were no statistical differences for patients with different family income in mental health of the 9 dimensions and the general mean scores(P >0.05);There were no statistical differences for patients with different family income in mental health of the 9 dimensions and the general mean scores(P >0.05); Whether to have medical insurance for patients with breast cancer of the mental health status in the differences of somatization, interpersonal relationship, hostility, terror, paranoia, psychosis dimensions were not significant(P> 0.05), and in the differences of the other three dimensions,including compulsion, depression, anxiety, and the general mean scores were statistical difference(P <0.05);There was no statistical difference for patients with breast cancer of different marital quality evaluation in the mental health status(P> 0.05); There was no statistical difference for patients with breast cancer in the mental health status whether to enter into hospital initially(P> 0.05).Conclusion: 1. The breast cancer patients’ SCL-90 score were in an abnormal state and larger than the range of normal. 2.The psychological health status of breast cancer patients in younger patients were poor than the elderly. 3. There were differences for patients in different marital status in mental health of the 9 dimensions and the general mean scores. Breast cancer patients with widowed had the largest impact on the mental health. 4. There were differences for patients in different degrees of cultural in mental health of the 9 dimensions and the general mean scores. Illiterate patients had the worst mental health status,and patients with the primary school educational had the second worst mental health status. 5. There was no difference of mental health in different monthly household income. 6. Whether breast cancer patients had medical insurance impacted mental health including compulsion, depression, anxiety, and total average. The mental health statuses of breast cancer patients with medical insurance are better than patients without medical insurance. 7. There was no difference for patients with breast cancer in different marital quality evaluation in the mental health status.8.
