Objective:To observe the clinical effect of modified of decoration of "Wushequfeng" as herbal intervention strategy for blood-heat syndrome of psoriasis vulgaris. The assessment of therapeutic effect based on psoriasis area and severity index (PASI) scores as well as pruritus symptoms of Traditional Chinese Medicine as evaluation index from both subjective and objective observation and analysis as baseline study.Methods:A randomized controlled method of 70 qualified of psoriasis vulgaris patients. Divided into treatment group 35 patients and control group 35 patients with the formergiven oral consumption of modified of decotion of "Wushequfeng" herbal formula while the latter given "Compound Qingdai Pill" herbal pill formula respectively. Data were collected and recorded at two different point of time i.e. before treatment and after treatment by the 4th weekend to compare the lesion area and severity index (PASI) score improvement for both treatment group and control group. We also observed statistics on the patients with adverse reactions that occur during treatment for purpose of drug’s characteristics analysis for arriving the efficacy outcomes with safety use. Each group was treated for one course(4 weeks) as baseline comparison.Results:After forth weeks of treatment course, we compared the PASI index to assess the degree of improvement and made empirical evidenceas efficacy outcomes. Total efficiency outcome for treatment group stood at 77.14%.On the contrary, total efficiency outcome for control group stood at 54.29%.The result of efficacy outcome of two groups is statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Empirical evidence of modified of decotion of "Wushequfeng" more effective in clinical intervention of improving the Psoriasis Vulgaris symptom’s scoring (PASI score) of pre and post condition.2 Empirical evidence modified of decotion of "Wushequfeng" proven an effective decotion formula and no imminent side effects for Psoriasis Vulgaris (blood-heat-syndrome-based).
