| ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of scalp-acupuncture with huatuojiaji acupoint in treating Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).the paper explores the mechanism of action of scalp-acupuncture with huatuojiaji acupoint on chronic fatigue syndrome, thus providing a theoretical basis for clinical applications of this therapy for the future.MethodTotally 70 patients with CFS were eligible for diagnostic and inclusion criteria. In accordance with the method of random number table, they were divided into a treatment group (n= 35) of scalp-acupuncture with huatuojiaji acupoint and a control group (n=35) of conventional acupuncture. Eligible patients treated once daily.treatment six times a week.Four weeks as a course of treatment was observed after one course, sorting and statistical patients before and after Fatigue Scale-14 (FS-14),Fatigue Assessment Instrument (FAI) and clinical symptoms points to analyze the therapeutic effect.ResultTwo groups of the general data statistically(gender, age, course of the disease) and the scores of each scale had no significant difference (P>0.05) before treatment, were comparable between the groups prompted. There were differences on the scores both of the two intra-groups before and after treatment(P<0.05).Prompting that both of the two methods were effective. There was difference on the scores in the inter-group after treatment(P<0.05). Prompting that the improvements of the scores in the treatment group was much better than that in the control group. The total effective rates of treatment group and control group had no significant differences(P> 0.05), but there was difference on markedly effective rate between two groups (P<0.05). It showed that patients in two Groups were improved after receiving acupuncture treatment,The clinical efficacy in the treatment group was much better than that in the control group.Conclusion1.The scores of each scale were significantly decreased in the two groups after treatment.2.The improvements of the scores of each scale in the Scalp-acupuncture with huatuojiaji acupoint group was much better than that in the conventional acupuncture group.3.The total effective rates of the two groups were well-matched,but the markedly effective rate of the Scalp-acupuncture with huatuojiaji acupoint group was much better than that in the conventional acupuncture group. |
