Clinical Observation On Ma Su Pinellia Ternate Decoction In The Acute Exacerbation Of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(Lung Phlegm- Turbidity)and Its Effect On HMGB1、TNF-α

Objective:To explore the clinical effect of ma su pinellia ternate decoction on the patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (lung phlegm-turbidity), and the influence on the peripheral blood of HMGB1、TNF-α.Methods:66 patients were randomly divided into treatment group (33 cases) and control group (33 cases), the finally complete number of treatment group and control group were both 32 cases. The control group was given by routine Western medical treatment,treatment group took ma su pinellia ternate decoction on the basis of on the basis of conventional western treatment. Observe two groups’improvements of clinical symptoms before and after treatment, meanwhile,test the level of HMGB1、TNF-α with ELISA method.Results:1.The total effective rate comparison:The patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (lung phlegm-turbidity) was treated by ma su pinellia ternate decoction,can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine. treatment group total effectiveness is 96.87%, control group is 90.62%, treatment group was better than that of control group (P<0.05).2.The two groups’ symptoms both had improved after treatmen (P<0.05); the treatment group in cough, expectoration,asthmatic,abdominal distension, appetite decrease, tiredness, loose stool were better than that of control group (P<0.05).3. The two groups’ level of HMGB1、TNF-α white blood cell count decreased after treatment (P<0.05), and the treatment group compared with control group with significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion:1. Ma su pinellia ternate decoction can obviously improve acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease period (lung phlegm-turbidity) patients’cough, expectoration,asthmatic,abdominal distension,appetite decrease, tiredness, loose stool.2. Ma su pinellia ternate decoction can effectively reduce the acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease period (lung phlegm-turbidity) patients’the level of HMGB1、TNF-α.3. In the process of the two groups of treatment had no abnormal reactions, which suggested that treating patients with ma su pinellia ternate decoction on the basis of conventional western treatment was safe and reliable.
