Objective:Evaluate the efficacy of treatment combining acupuncture with Jiangzhi Yizhi granule on mild cognitive impairment.Methods:A total of 60 participants with mild cognitive dysfunction syndrome were enrolled. They were randomly divided into two groups, which is acupuncture-Chinese medicine combined group and Western medicine group. The Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) was applied for evaluating of the result.Results: ①The data were compared between the intervention group and control group using t-test. For the MMSE score adjusted MoCA score, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).② Efficacy index. Comparing the efficacy index between two groups, no significant difference was found (P>0.05).③Comparing the result of MoCA between the intervention group and control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) in naming, delayed recall and orientation score. ④Safety Evaluation. There was no significant difference.Conclusion: ①Findings provide preliminary support that treatment of mild cognitive impairment process is safe, with long time treatment. ② Acupuncture combined with Jiangzhi Yizhi granule can be considered as better contributing to the treatment for mild cognitive impairment, which may preventing the development of Alzheimer’s disease. ③ Acupuncture combined with Jiangzhi Yizhi granule performs better on the result of The Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale’s some sub scores for mild cognitive impairment treatment. |
