Objective: To explore the clinicopathological characteristics of the papillary thyroid carcinoma(PTC) with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis(HT). Methods:495 consecutive PTC patients diagnosed by pathological from January 2010 to May 2015 in our hospital were reviewed, to explore the relationship of PTC and HT, The clinical and pathological features were compared. Results: A total of 495 patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma, 108 cases with HT, accounting for 21.81%. Single factor analysis showed that PTC-HT group’s female patients, preoperative promote thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH) level and thyroid peroxidase antibody(TPOAb) level are higher than PTC group, maximum tumor diameter is smaller, clinical stage is earlier(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that the gender, TSH level, TPOAb level and clinical stage were independent predictors of PTC combined with HT(P<0.05). Conclusion: Compared with PTC, the female patients in PTC-HT group were more, and the postoperative pathological stage was earlier, the maximum tumor diameter was small, suggested that the combination of HT did not increase the invasion of the tumor, and the prognosis was better. But patients in PTC-HT group has high TSH level, it may increase the risk of PTC.
