The treatment group needling on the first side line of the Tai-yang meridian and prick-needling Du-meridian as while the ordinary acupuncture manipulation group using standard Yang-ming meridian acupoints. The traditional Chinese medicine syndrome changes have been observed before and after treatment for both groups for 8 days treatment. After 15 days, patient’s major TCM symptoms as hemiplegia, partial body numbness, difficulty swallowing and dysphasia have improved significantly compared before the treatment in two groups, p<0.01, and those symptoms improved obviously compared within group in treatment group as than in ordinary acupuncture group, but headaches, fatigue and other symptoms are not obviously. And the main symptoms are both improved after treatment of stroke in two groups, while the improving degree in Activating Yang and Getting through Du-Meridian manipulation group is obviously than that in ordinary acupuncture group. The treatment group needling on the first side line of the Tai-yang meridian and prick-needling Du-meridian as while the control group using standard acupoints. Neurologic impairment and living index have been observed before and after treatment for both groups for 15 days treatment. After treatment the patient’s NIHSS score and BI score are significantly improved comparing with 15 days before in two groups, p<0.01. NIHSS and BI scores improved obviously compared within group in treatment group as which in control group. NIHSS and BI scores improving degree after treatment between two groups are substantially equal. And BI score improvement was significantly improved than NIHSS score in two groups. Conclusion: Both methods can improve muscle strength of paralysis, improving life skills of stroke patients. Activating Yang and Getting through Du-Meridian manipulation has more advantages in improving patient’s living index.
