| Objective:The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between metabolic syndrome(MS) patients who have different traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndromes and E-selectin gene A561C polymorphism.Then trying to provide evidence for determining all kinds of clinical manifestations in MS patients,to offer a new view of genetic pathogenesis about MS,and to expect to become an index by preventing and diagnosing MS in early stage.Methods:This study has 250 cases,which 150 cases that meet the MS standard belong to experimental group and 100 normal healthy people belong to control group.The experimental group is divided into Qi and dampness stagnation group, accumulation of sputum and blood group,deficiency of Qi and Yin group and Qi deficiency of spleen and kidney group.All the patients were testing height,weight and blood pressure,drawing off blood to test serum uric acid,creatinine, glycosylated hemoglobin A1C,fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose,lipid test which has four items,etc.Detecting the distribution among groups by method of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay to test the soluble E-selectin level and polymerase chain reactiongene restriction fragment length polymorphism to find E-selectin gene A561C polymorphism.Results:Through statistically analysing the data which include experimental group and control group,there has got a few of conclusions about connection between MS distinctions and E-selectin gene A561C polymorphism.①Comparison in normal information of sex is significant (P<0.05) in experimental group which has four TCM syndromes.The number of male patients is more than female’s.②Comparison in clinical parameters of BMI,systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, fasting plasma glucose,serum creatinine,soluble E-selectin is significant (P< 0.05) in two groups.Among them,systolic blood pressure, fasting plasma glucose and soluble E-selectin is especially significant (P< 0.001).③There have got two E-selectin gene types:AA and AC.The experimental group and control group genotype distributions are both coinciding with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium(P> 0.05).④Comparison in clinical parameters of 2-hour postprandial blood glucose,serum uric acid and soluble E-selectin is significant (P< 0.05) among different distinctions in experimental group.⑤In experimental group,soluble E-selectin level of accumulation of sputum and blood syndrome group is extremely significant than other three groups(P< 0.001).While the Qi and dampness stagnation group, deficiency of Qi and Yin group and Qi deficiency of spleen and kidney group have no differences.⑥The deficiency of Qi and Yin group has not only the most patients of AC type,but also the most proportion of allele C.The result is significant (P< 0.05).On the other side,the distribution of allele A is balanced in four syndromes.Conclusions:The level of soluble E-selectin relates to TCM distinctions in MS patients,especially for accumulation of sputum and blood syndrome group.E-selectin gene A561C polymorphism has involvement with deficiency of Qi and Yin syndrome,while allele C maybe the susceptible factor.Above all,the items can be the objective factors about MS TCM distinctions,and can be used to provide new thinking of MS diagnoses and treatment. |
