Objective:To explore the clinical value of Chengqi class prescriptions in ancient medical cases,by way of using data mining technology.Methods:Set Chengqi class prescriptions as keywords to search the medical-case part of The Chinese Medical, formulate the inclusion criteria which is adapted with the current research, wrap up the inclusive ancient medical cases to set up the database on ancient medical cases of Chengqi class prescriptions.Use data mining technology such as frequency analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, to mine the symptoms and the traditional Chinese medicine, and explore the characteristics of the syndrome and the Chinese medicine usage.Results:Collect 155 Chengqi class prescriptions ancient medical cases, bring 96 of these into the database.Analyze the database and find that:(1) Chengqi class prescriptions can treat inter medical diseases, surgical diseases, gynecologic diseases, ENT diseases, orthopedic diseases and so on. Most of the diseases are belong to spleen-stomach diseases(45.83%), mind diseases(13.54%) and externally contracted heat diseases(12.50%). (2) According to the frequency of high low order, the top five symptoms in the database on ancient medical cases of Chengqi class prescriptions can be constipation, fever, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, dysphoria. (3) In addition to Houpu, Zhishi, Mangxiao, Taoren, Gancao, which are the basic components of Chengqi class prescriptions, the commonly used Chinese medicine is antipyretic such as Xijiao, Shengdi, and blood-activation Chinese medicine such as Wuling-zhi and Shengpu-huang.Conclusion:(1) Chengqi class prescriptions are originated from Treatise on Febrile Diseases wrote in Eastern Han Dynasty, and got initial development in Tang and Song Dynasty. During Jin Yuan Period, Chengqi class prescriptions have been developed to some extent. Until Ming and Qing Dynasty, Chengqi class prescriptions developed rapidly because of the rise of Warm Disease School. (2) The change of Chengqi class prescriptions are in the difference of pathological factors, disease location, accompanied symptoms and the relationship between deficiency and excess. (3) Chengqi class prescriptions can treat inter medical diseases, surgical diseases, gynecologic diseases, ENT diseases, orthopedic diseases and so on. Most of the diseases are belong to spleen-stomach diseases, mind diseases and externally contracted heat diseases.(4) Chengqi class prescriptions can often be used to treat constipation, abdominal pain, abdominal distension and fever. The symptoms can also be dysphoria, delirious speech, headache and hot eyes. (5) In addition to Houpu, Zhishi, Mangxiao, Taoren, Gancao, which are the basic components of Chengqi class prescriptions:the commonly used Chinese medicine is antipyretic such as Xijiao, Shengdi, and blood-activation Chinese medicine such as Wuling-zhi and Shengpu-huang.
