| Objective In order to explore the ultrasound in diagnosis the dorsal metatarsal artery pathological changes of patients with diabetic foot and it’s clinical application value. Methods Using the two-dimensional ultrasound and color doppler technology to detect the tube cavity structure were interruption or not, measuring the inner diameter, the highest and the lowest blood flow velocity, resistance index, and the changes of blood spectrum morphology of dorsal metatarsal artery from the first to fourth of 50 cases of 100 patients with diabetes and 16 cases of 32 healthy volunteers. Results The patients with diabetic foot of first to fourth dorsal plantar artery detected by two-dimensional and color doppler showed that, the tube cavity structure were continual interruption. The different degrees inner diameter were significantly decreases, and the resistance index and blood flow peak velocity, were significantly lower. The three-phase flow waveforms were disappeared, but typical steamed bread monophasic waveform were appearance. Conclusion The color doppler ultrasonography examination can display well the payhological change of the metatarsal artery, such as the lower limb arterial ischemia in patients with diabetic foot, especially the date of diameter size of the dorsal third plantar artery blood flow velocity, resistance index and blood peak speed could provide an accurate hemodynamic parameters, to guide the preoperative diagnosis and postoperative rehabilitation of patients with diabetic foot. |
