Analysis Of Failure Factors After Treatment Of The Intertrochanteric Fracture With Gamma Nail

Objective To analyze the faliure factor after treatment of the intertrochanteric fractures with Gamma nail.Methods A total of 126 cases of intertrochanteric fractures was treated with Gamma nail from January 2010 to Marry 2013 in Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University.Count the incidence of internal fixation failure, and analysis the influence factors.Results 101 patients included in this study were followed up from 13 to 52 months with an average time of 32.4 months.There were 44 men and 57 women with an average age of 79 years. According to the AO classification,5 cases of A11,10 cases of A12,13 cases of A13,5 cases of A21,10 cases of A22,52 cases of A23,1 case of A31.1 case of A32,4 cases of A33.There were 2 cases of screw cut out of the femoral head, 1case of internal fixation breakage and refracture in the site of distal femoral interlocking nail in 1 case.Conclusions The screw cut out of the femoral head influenced by lag screw position in the femoral head,and the reduction condition of the fracture,but in this study,the relation between fracture classification, the degree of osteoporosis and screw cut-out has no obvious statistical significance.The refracture in the site of distal femoral interlocking nail is concerned with the internal fixation design itself and the distal locking nial repeated drilling.
